Getting in touch with my inner child in Disneyland

The most awaited weekend came. We had already booked our tickets to Disneyland- Paris and got a great discount on advance booking. Thrilled and excited, we left our place and boarded the metro to Disneyland. Till then, I had only seen theme parks in movies. As I entered Disneyland, the first thing I noticed was the main entrance. It was absolutely stunning. I felt like I was in the fairyworld- Castles, princess, animated characters, and whatnot. Admiring the beautiful Sleeping Beauty’s Castle, we headed straight to' Rollercoaster rides. Rollercoasters have always been my favourite. I love the adrenaline rush that I get from roller coasters. With high speeds, loud music and dazzling lights, it was a real treat. The best part was that we did not have to wait much in the queue (we waited less than 5 and we rode the roller coaster twice! We experienced some of the best rides there and clicked some pictures with the various cartoon characters- Mickey and Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy etc. that I used to watch on Disney Channel. It was really a fun place to be in. I would suggest everyone who is planning for a Paris trip to visit Disneyland irrespective of their age. For dinner we went to an Indian Restaurant. There, we ordered the standard rice, curry, chapatti and vegetables. The next day we went to Arc of Triumph. It was a structure Napolean Bonaparte had built after achieving victory in war. It comes with a breathtaking view upon the world-famous shopping street. We climbed up the stairs during the sunrise, and actually got to see the sun set over Paris. It was an incredible experience as we got to see the view during day time as well as night time. As I was appreciating the beautiful Eiffel tower in absolute darkness, suddenly some small blue lights started to flicker, and it kept going for quite a while. After watching the light show, we hastily came down from the arc to continue our journey among the Parisian streets. As I got down, I took a quick look at the Arc de Triomphe, and thought that it was a great idea to climb all those stairs, because of the unrivalled view it had to offer. While we were strolling down the street, we saw a lot of small shops to buy something for family and friends. We stopped for a little shopping and bought lots of souvenirs like Eiffel tower key chains, t-shirts and caramel chocolates from there. Paris is a place that has so much to offer. It is so alive and flourishing that it will never reveal all its secrets at once and I feel like visiting this place again and again. This beautiful city was a treat to eyes as well as heart. I came to this city as a complete stranger but left with a lot of beautiful memories that I still cherish and I am sure will cherish my entire life.
