Amazing Paris trip

It was my exam time. I woke up early to complete the remaining syllabus. I opened my laptop to check some mails. It was then when I realised that I got a foreign internship with scholarship. My happiness knew no bounds. I immediately called my parents and told them about it. They were glad to hear the big news. Keeping all the excitement aside for some days, I continued studying for exams. And finally the day arrived. I booked my tickets and went to Visa office for approval and Yes! I got it approved. I was actually going to Europe. My friends came to bid me adieu at the New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport. The flight took off. After 11 hours of journey, my flight arrived at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. I picked up my luggage and went outside to hire a taxi. After reaching the hostel, I placed my luggage in my room and went outside to have some food. I had already researched for the famous food in Paris. So I stopped at a Patisserie and ate pastries and sweets. As I returned back to my hostel, I found that my roommate had already arrived. She was also from my India but was living in Europe since last 10 years. In the course of a few days, we became friends and planned an itinerary. Eiffel tower topped my list. It was my dream to be there since I was 10 years old. Weekend arrived and we left our hostel to reach nearby subway station. We walked out of the Tour Eiffel Station, and there it was, the grandest beauty of all. A huge tower like I have never seen before. I had only seen this tower in movies and in picture selfies. But this time I was right there. I literally had goose bumps. The Eiffel tower has lawns around it, where we sat in silence gazing at this huge structure and watched the sun set behind it. We reached the summit when it was midnight. I felt like I was on the top of the world. I could see the entire Paris illuminated. I felt like I was living a dream. We then went back to our hostel. The next day we had planned to visit The Louvre museum. It is one of the world’s largest museums and one of the most visited centres in Paris. It contains the famous painting Monalisa. I got the chance to learn more about French history and their diverse culture. Unfortunately there were not much restaurants around so we came out to have lunch. After having lunch we went to Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral. It was a very pleasant experience with a world famous site in front of your eyes, by the river Seine . We were so amazed by the architecture; we just sat in the park and kept gazing at it. I got attracted to the magnificent architectural carvings on the church. And this was how our weekend ended.
